Survey Data Processing Software Application

Description: This short-term training is intended to introduce participants to the census and survey processing system application and engage them to understand the basics of data entry using software. Various software packages for entry, editing, tabulation, and dissemination of census and survey data. The training takes the participants in an active process of learning the basics of the software. In due process, the participants gradually learn how to use the software and apply it in their research work. The trainings will be supported by standard training modules, real-world datasets, and using various software’s such as CSPRo, survey solution, and KoboCollec softwares.

Content: The training will covers the following topics:

Topic 1: Introduction

Topic 2: Basic features of software

Topic 3:  Data processing using software

• Data Entry Application
• Create the Data Dictionary
• Create the Data Entry Forms
• Enter Data
• Add Edits to the Data Entry Application

Topic 4: CAPI questions and texts,

Topic 5: Merging, concatenating, and exporting data using software.

Target Group: The training is suited to researchers, students, academia, and individual consultant. In addition, statistician, research analysts, survey manager, and data collectors will be ideal for the training.

Requirements: A minimum of BA/BSc degree in economics and other related discipline. In addition, basic knowledge of the following softwares: CSPRo, Survey Solution, and KoboCollec. Participants are also expected to come with their laptops to practice some examples.
