The Ethiopian Economics Association (EEA) is pleased to announce the upcoming opportunity for active members of the association in the field of impact evaluation. We are inviting expressions of interest from active members who are keen to enhance their skills and knowledge in impact evaluation methodologies. The training is designed to provide participants with an in-depth understanding of cutting-edge techniques and methodologies used in impact evaluation.
Objectives
The training will provide introductory training in the concepts of programme evaluation and in the designs and techniques for evaluating programme impact.
The main workshop objectives are to:
· Define the impact evaluation questions and examine the main issues to consider for validly answering those questions;
· To develop criteria for choosing the appropriate estimation strategy given different scenarios of programme characteristics and data availability;
· To interpret results appropriately and to examine the programmatic implications of results;
· To gain practical experience applying impact evaluation strategies and quantitative tools.
Venue
The training will take place in June 2024 at the EEA training hall, located at Lemi Kura, woreda 11, CMC area. Adjacent to St. Michael Church, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
NB: The cost of the training, refreshments, and lunch during the training period are catered for. However, all other associated expenses such as accommodation and transport/flight costs will be covered by the applicant
