Description: This training is designed to provide trainees with a thorough grasp of the capital, financial, and derivatives markets. Financial markets, which include capital and derivatives markets, are global marketplaces where small and large firms can raise capital and hedge against various types of risks. Stock, stocks, and bond markets are examples of capital markets, whereas derivatives markets include forwards, futures, options, and swaps markets. It also aids in recognizing the functions, operations, and rules of the derivatives markets, as well as gaining a firm understanding of the functions, operations, and instruments of the primary and secondary capital markets.

Content: The training will cover the following topics:

Topic 1: Fundamentals and Dynamics of Capital and Derivative Markets,

Topic 2: Exchange-Traded Futures, Options and Over the Counter Derivatives

Topic 3: Principles of Clearing, Delivery and Settlement

Topic 4: Trading, Hedging and Investment Strategies

Topic 5: Special Regulatory Requirements

Topic 6: Application of the Markets

Target Group: The training is suited to a wide range of professions working in financial sector stakeholders (banks, insurances, other financial institution); Researchers; Academia; Policy-makers; Students.

Requirements: A minimum of BA/BSc degree in economics and related business discipline. In addition, the participant expected to know basic skills of the financial calculator and software.
