EEA in Collaboration with CBE has organized Trainings on Different topics

The Ethiopian Economics Association (EEA) has provided a three days short term capacity building training to staff members of Commercial bank of Ethiopia (CBE) on May 9-11, 2022 at CBE’s training center, Hidassie building, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The training is categorized in to three topics (1) Applied Data Management and Analysis with Stata (2) resourcefulness and (3) understanding regulatory economic and political environment. Training on Applied Data Management and Analysis with Stata software was managed by EEA researchers Dr. Arega  Shumetie, and Dr. Nasir Nuru. The training on “resourcefulness” was provided by Dr. Woretaw Bezabeh, general manager and trainer of Amero Entrepreneurship Development share company. Dr. Semeneh Bessie, Partnership and Communication Director of the EEA and Dr. Baymot Tadesse from Ethiopian Civil service university have provided training on “Understanding regulatory, economic and political environment in Ethiopia”. A total of 131 CBE staff that comprises senior staff, mangers, researchers, and directors gathered from the federal, regional and branch offices have attended the training.  The main objective of the training is to introduce the trainees with techniques using Stata package using cross-sectional data, understand and apply the concept of resourcefulness on their day today activities. The training on regulatory, economic and political environment in Ethiopia has helped the trainees to analyze the present political economy of the country. Certificate for successful accomplishment of the training was delivered. The training was being offered by the grant obtained from Commercial bank of Ethiopia (CBE), and EEA is thankful for the organization. The 2nd round training will be offered on May16-18, 2022 on the same topics.
