Promoting economic research and dissemination of findings in Ethiopia and beyond is among the major objectives of the Ethiopian Economic Association (EEA). The EEA has been publishing and disseminating research findings in various forms including, Ethiopian Journal of Economics, conference proceedings, report on the Ethiopian economy, quarterly macroeconomic update, policy working papers, policy briefs, occasional newsletters, and books. In addition to these, the EEA has introduced a new form of publication, titled “Research Report”. It is newly introduced in view of disseminating a reliable source to recount more details about conducted research. Moreover, purpose of the Research Report is to communicate the findings of broader research studies to a wider audience. To this end, the first research report titled: “Multidimensional Development Index (MDI): Benchmarking with Global Achievements” is now ready for dissemination. The study is authored by Dr. Degye Goshu, Tadele Ferede, Alemayehu Seyoum Tafesse, and Abule Mehare. We are pleased to inform you that this newly introduced form of EEA publication is now available online and can be downloaded.
