The Ethiopian Economics Association (EEA) is delighted to announce the release of its Policy Woking Paper titled “Does Ethiopia Benefit from Joining the BRICS? Global Trends and Local Perceptions.” This Policy Working Paper was conducted by Dr. Degye Goshu, Dr. Amdissa Teshome, and Mr. Dawit Teshale. The study has utilized primary and secondary data including an expert survey of 233 EEA members (economists). The paper delves into global trends, the realization of the objectives of the New International Economic Order (NIEO), the driving forces for a new global economic order, and the expected political and economic consequences of Ethiopia’s participation in the BRICS.
