The Ethiopian Economic Association (EEA) has provided a half day training on protection of sexual exploitation and abuses (PSEA) on May 19, 2022 at Yod Abyssinia Hotel, Addis Ababa. Prof. Mengistu Ketema, the CEO of the EEA has officially opened the training. In his opening remark, Prof. Mengistu emphasized that EEA has established a zero tolerance policy to SEA, and kindly requested all the EEA and IGA staff to actively participate and cooperate for effective implementation of the PSEA policy at EEA. A total of 28 employees and management staff attended the training provided by Mr Getachew Desale. The main objective of the training is to create awareness on recently developed EEA’s PSEA policy that ensures that any potential allegations of SEA are responded to in a timely and appropriate manner. During the training, participants raised pertinent questions and comments which were addressed by the trainer and the EEA Management. For effective implementation of the policy, EEA has assigned Rahel Yilma as focal person for the PSEA policy at EEA.
