On Tuesday, September 24, 2024, the Ethiopian Economics Association (EEA) and the Africa China Trade and Investment Facilitation (ACTIF) Center signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at the Hyatt Regency in Addis Ababa. The agreement was signed by Prof. Mengistu Ketema, CEO of the EEA, and Mr. Adale Oda, Board Chairman and Founding Partner of ACTIF, on behalf of their respective institutions.
This partnership aims to enhance collaboration in research, policy dialogues, and capacity building. The MoU outlines a framework for both organizations to co-organize events, share research findings, and address critical policy issues affecting Ethiopia and the wider region.
With the EEA’s extensive expertise in economic research and advocacy and ACTIF’s focus on promoting trade and investment cooperation between Africa and China, this strategic alliance will facilitate joint conferences, seminars, and workshops. The signing of this MoU marks a significant step toward improving policy formulation and business development, fostering a more favorable economic environment both nationally and continentally.
