Addis Ababa, Ethiopia – August 12, 2024 – The Ethiopian Economics Association (EEA) and the Agricultural Transformation Institute (ATI) today announced a groundbreaking collaboration aimed at catalyzing Ethiopia’s economic and agricultural development. The two institutions have formalized their partnership through a comprehensive Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed at the ATI headquarters.

This strategic alliance unites the EEA’s economic policy expertise with the ATI’s deep-rooted knowledge of agricultural transformation. By pooling their intellectual capital and resources, the organizations will undertake joint research, capacity-building initiatives, and policy advocacy to address critical challenges and unlock opportunities in Ethiopia’s socioeconomic landscape.

Dr. Mandefro Nigussie, CEO of ATI, and Professor Mengistu Ketema, CEO of EEA, expressed their shared enthusiasm for the partnership, emphasizing its potential to drive evidence-based policymaking and foster sustainable growth.
