The Ethiopian Economics Association (EEA) and Leap Consulting PLC have formally entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate on research, capacity building, event organization, and other areas of common interest. This significant agreement was solidified during a ceremony at EEA’s Headquarters on May 13, 2024.
Professor Mengistu Ketema, CEO of the Association, and Prof. Chemeda Fininsa, General Manager of Leap Consulting PLC, signed the MoU on behalf of their respective institutions. Prof. Mengistu expressed his excitement about the collaboration, stating, “This MoU with a home of seasoned researchers of diverse disciplines, helps to tackle complex challenges, and push the boundaries of knowledge in evidence generation and capacity building.” Prof. Chemeda resonated these sentiments, emphasizing the shared vision of the two institutes. “We believe that this collaboration will foster the spirit of cooperation in addressing the evolving needs of the community and various stakeholders in the country,” he stated.
Together, the EEA and Leap Consulting PLC aim to tackle contemporary challenges and seize emerging opportunities in Ethiopia and beyond.
