The Focus Area

The primary focus of Ethiopian Journal of Economics (EJE) is to publish theoretical, applied and policy related original manuscripts that have significant contributions to the advancement of economic thoughts and policy formulation. The journal also publishes papers presented at international, regional and national conferences held in Ethiopia and overseas. This journal provides opportunities to scholars to publish their research works related to economics and related disciplines without publication fees. In terms of coverage, EJE mainly emphasises on macroeconomics, welfare and human development, trade and industrial development, agricultural and rural transformation, institutions, environment and climate change, gender and women’s economic empowerment.
