The Seventh Annual Conference on the Eastern Ethiopia Economic Development Dire Dawa,

The Ethiopian Economics Association (EEA) Eastern Ethiopian Chapter has been organizing consecutive Annual conferences on the Eastern parts Ethiopia Economic Development.
Similarly, EEA in Collaboration with Dire Dawa University, Jigjiga University, Haramaya University and Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung is pleased to announce the seventh Annual conference on with the grand theme “Agro-Pastoralism and Environment Linkages for Sustainable Regional Development” to be held on October 15, 2021. The conference is growing to be a platform to academia, practitioners, policy makers and the general public and public sector leaders. Hence, EEA cordially invites interested scholars to present their original research work on eastern parts of the country to present their original papers. However, papers from other parts of the region can also be accepted provided that lessons that can be drawn to eastern parts of the country from other regions or country experience are clearly indicated. Submissions are expected to be related with an overarching subject indicated in the main theme and the following sub themes.
Pastoralism, Livestock Production and Marketing
• Sustainable Agriculture and Rural Development
• Climate Change and Vulnerability
• Economic impacts of Covid-19 and other shocks
• Papers that consider cross-cutting issues such as economic empowerment of Women and Youth HIV, Food and Nutrition are encouraged.
Deadline for abstract submission: July 30, 2021
Deadline for draft Manuscript Submission: August 20, 2021
Deadline for final Manuscript Submission: September 15, 2021
