Dear distinguished EEA Members,
As you may remember, the Executive Committee of the EEA called the annual 29th General Assembly (GA) on November 26, 222. Although the turnout was good (175 participants), unfortunately, the GA was postponed due to failure to meet the minimum acceptable quorum requirement (227 participants). Despite the inconvenience due to incomplete quorum, we hope the meeting participants enjoyed a presentation and discussion held on the economic consequences of Ethiopia’s civil conflict.
In accordance with the bylaws of the association Article 9 sub article 2.2, the second call for the meeting will be held on December 10, 2022, at EEA’s Multipurpose Conference Hall starting from 8:30 AM.
The main GA agenda includes evaluation and approval of the annual performance report, annual plan, external audit report, endorsement of one EC member substitution, and approval of the revised articles of EEA bylaw. Moreover, on the occasion, there will also be a presentation by
the EEA on “The Quest for Economic Transformation in Ethiopia”.
This is, therefore, to kindly invite you to attend this important GA meeting and contribute to the success of the association.
