The Ethiopian Economics Association (EEA) and Jimma University (JU) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate on research, teaching, and training activities. The MoU was signed on November 4, 2023, at the 2nd Oromia regional economic development conference, held in Jimma, Ethiopia. Dr. Amdissa Teshome, President of the EEA and Dr. Tadesse Habtamu the AVP and delegate the president of Jimma University signed the MOU on behalf of their institutions. After signing the MOU, Dr. Tadesse and Dr. Amdissa showed their genuine commitment to implementing the millstones indicated in the agreement.
The EEA has also signed MOU with Oromia Planning and Development Commission (OPDC). The main purpose of the agreement is to redefine the roles and responsibilities the EEA and OPDC, and build mutual agreement between the two institutions, and create a collaborative environment with the regional government. Dr. Amdissa Teshome, president of the EEA and H.E. Dr. Andulaziz Dawud Commissionaire of OPDC signed the MOU on behalf of the two institutions. After signing the MOU, Dr. Abdulaziz and Dr. Amdissa also confirmed their genuine commitment to implementing the millstones indicated in the agreement.
