The 6th Evidence to Action Conference and Exhibition started by pre-conference side events. The pre-conference training and side events was officially opened by Dr. David Ameyaw, President and CEO of the International Center for Evaluation and Development (ICED).The conference is co-organized by the ICED in partnership with the Ministry of Planning and Development-Ethiopia, Policy Studies Institute, Ethiopian Economics Association and other national and international partners. The conference will take place from 24th – 28th July 2023 at the EEA’s main conference hall. The first two days (24th – 25th July) are designated for pre-conference side events, where several organizations would host sessions and trainings on some of the conference’s thematic areas. The main conference will start on 26th July in the presence of high-level officials and ministers of the FDRE and many dignitaries from various African countries.
The theme of the conference is “Resilience and Recovery”. The conference would be good opportunity to facilitate deepened dialogues, shared learning, and evidence-based strategies, and mobilize inclusive and complementary support to accelerate resilience and recovery, with an emphasis on African contexts. The conference has brought together key actors and stakeholders across the continent and the globe including high caliber experts, government actors and policymakers, research institutions, academia, CSOs, international development organizations, and global business leaders and entrepreneurs to share their insights on reducing vulnerabilities and building adaptation capacities to future shocks.
