The Ethiopian Economics Association (EEA) organized a short term capacity building training on Policy Analysis, Development and Implementation from December 5-9, 2022 at the EEA Training Room. The training was organized for EEA members and public servants drawn from National Bank of Ethiopia, Ministry of Planning and Development, and Plan and Development Commissions of Amhara Region, Oromia Region, SNNPR, Afar Region and Addis Ababa. A total of about 25 trainees benefited from the training.
The trainees were introduced to the overall concept and practical approaches of Policy Analysis, Development and Implementation, as well as tools and techniques of policy formulation and monitoring and evaluation using hands-on exercises in the Ethiopian context. Hailu Elias (PhD), Executive committee member of the EEA and Dean of Business and Economics College of Addis Ababa University, delivered the training. The training was organized with the financial support from the Civil Society Fund III of the European Union. Mengistu Ketema (Prof.), CEO of EEA, officially opened and closed the training and awarded certificates to the trainees.
