The paper investigates feasible containment measures deemed to be relevant to socio-economic conditions of the country; estimates the economic effects of the pandemic on GDP across sectors and welfare effects on rural and urban populations; and suggests feasible response measures to be undertaken by the government of Ethiopia and other stakeholders.
