Background
The Ethiopian Economics Association (EEA) is a non-profit and non-religious organization registered
with the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia Agency for Civil Society Organization under
registration no. 1373, as Local Organization in Accordance with the organization of Civil Societies
proclamation No. 1113/2019 with a registration certificate dated on 6th February 2020.
The Association currently seeks to appoint an independent External audit service provider for the audit of
the EEA for three years period, from 2017 EC (2024/25) to 2019 EC (2026/27) Ethiopian budget years.
The EEA’s fiscal year ends on June 30. The organization’s financial statements are prepared based on
International Public Sector Accounting Standard (IPSAS) requirement,
- Eligible audit firms are invited to participate by submitting the following:
1.1 The firm’s profile
1.2 Trade license (Renewed for the current year), TIN, and VAT registration Certificate
1.3 Certificate of Competence from the Accounting and Auditing Board of Ethiopia (AABE).
1.4 Evidence of previous experience in providing audit services in similar organizations.
1.5 Separate technical and financial proposal that clearly indicates price with VA.T.

- Audit firms that meet the requirements are kindly requested to submit in person their technical and
financial proposals from June 3, 2024, to June 17, 2024, during working hours to the following address in a
sealed and stamped envelope to the attention of the EEA Administrative and Finance Division.
The bid will close on June 17, 2024, at 5.30 pm.
