July 30, 2024 — A delegation from the Ethiopian Economics Association (EEA) met with senior officials from the Ministry of Trade and Regional Integration (MoTRI) at the Ministry’s headquarters in Addis Ababa, to discuss potential areas of collaboration. led by His Excellency Dr. Kassahun Gofe, Minister, Ministry of Trade and Regional Integration, the meeting brought together representatives from both organizations.
Prof. Mengistu Ketema, CEO of the EEA, presented the EEA’s capabilities in evidence generation, capacity building, and event organization. He emphasized the Association’s potential to contribute significantly to informed policymaking in the country. Minister Dr. Kassahun Gofe echoed these sentiments, underscoring the importance of such collaboration. He affirmed that the professional orientation of the EEA aligns closely with the ministry’s objectives and activities.
