The discussion focused on ongoing and emerging research related to Ethiopia’s agricultural value chain (farm-to-market), industry, logistics, ICT, and professional and business services. The meeting provided an excellent platform for both teams to exchange insights on the country’s evolving economic landscape and identify potential areas for collaboration.

Led by Prof. Mengistu, the EEA team highlighted key research initiatives and evidence-based policy work undertaken by the Association. The World Bank delegation, including Dr. Nistha Sinha and Dr. Elwyn Davies, shared updates from their current analytical work on Ethiopia’s private sector development and competitiveness.

Both sides expressed their commitment to continued engagement and collaboration aimed at supporting policy dialogue and advancing research on Ethiopia’s value chain transformation.
