This October in São Paulo, the 2025 SV Conference brought together more than 70 think tanks from 35 countries across Africa, Asia, and Latin America and the Caribbean under the theme “Reimagining the Global Development Architecture”.

Our CEO, Prof. Mengistu Ketema, has attended the Southern Voice 2025 Conference from 29-30 October. Prof. Mengistu has also served as a panellist in one of the panel sessions on a theme ‘Financial Resilience with Strong, Inclusive Economies’ held on 28 October 2025.

The first two days were packed with a number of important presentations and panel discussions while the third day (30th October) focused primarily on a project ‘Strengthening Resilience of Low and Middle-Income Country (LMIC) Research Institutions in the Global Evidence Ecosystem’. This is a joint project where EEA is also contributing to together with other 13 think tanks from the global south.
