Dear EEA Members,
The Ethiopian Economic Association (EEA) held five days Training on “Environmental Impact and Sustainability Analysis (EISA)” sponsored by European Union (EU) under CSF-III Ethiopia project. The main objective of the training is to equip participants with practical skills of Environmental Impact and Sustainability Analysis. The training was offered from November 29 –3, 2121. Many highly qualified members have applied to the training. However, only 23 participants were selected from EEA members, government and privet sectors. EEA has used active participation in the EEA affairs and attendance on GA meeting as the main selection criteria. The training was offered by Dr. Alemayehu Ayana, Director and Senior Researcher in Socio-economics, Policy, Extension and Gender Research Program at Ethiopian Environment and Forest Research Institute (EEFRI). A welcome and opening address was made by Dr. Degye Goshu, Director for Research and Policy Analysis of EEA. Dr. Semeneh Bessie, Director for Partnership and Communication Division has made fruitful discussion with the training participants, delivered certificate and made closing remark.
