Call for Expression of Interest: Trainers (Associate Researchers)
The Ethiopian Economics Association (EEA) is seeking trainers for a short-term for the project titled ‘Integrated Health System Strengthening (IHSS)’, implemented in collaboration with AMREF Africa. This project includes providing short-term capacity-building training in the following areas:
- Healthcare Financing Reform
- Public Finance Management
- Community-Based Health Insurance
Objectives of the Trainings are:
- Enhance Knowledge and Skills: Provide comprehensive training on principles, methods, and tools to health professionals and other stakeholders.
- Improve Resource Allocation: Equip participants with skills to design and implement effective strategies for equitable resource distribution.
- Promote Sustainable Financing: Foster understanding of sustainable financing mechanisms, including public-private partnerships, insurance schemes, and donor funding.
- Strengthen Policy Implementation: Support the development and implementation of healthcare financing policies and reforms.
The trainings will be conducted in fifteen woredas across five regions: Oromia, Sidama, Amhara, Afar, and Somali. Training manuals have been developed, and the selected trainers will be required to customize these manuals and deliver the trainings.
Thus, applicants who have a minimum of MA degree in Health Economics, Economics, or related fields, and who have demonstrated expertise in the stated training areas and evidence of past performance on similar training activities are invited to submit their expression of interest and short CV on or before September 30, 2024. You are also required to fill the attached Financial Proposal Submission Form. The round of training sessions the trainer will conduct depends on his/her performance.
