The lectures create opportunities for researchers, academicians, policy makers and development practitioners to be acquainted with new theories, analytical methodologies, findings, and additional information from authoritative personalities.
Some of the prominent persons who delivered public lectures were: the late Prime Minister of the FDRE, H.E. Ato Meles Zenawi, Prof. Joseph Stieglitz, François Bourguignon former chief economist of the World Bank, Shantayanan Devarajan, chief economist of the World Bank’s Africa Region, etc. The public lectures were attended by government officials, academia, private and NGOs representatives and EEA members.
